Full Job Description
As Electrical Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient delivery of electrical works on site, ensuring activities are completed to the required programme, quality, safety and technical standards. You will coordinate electrical subcontractors and site teams while working closely with the Project Manager, engineers, client representatives and other trades to ensure the project progresses safely and efficiently. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise electrical installation activities across the BESS project.
- Coordinate electrical subcontractors and site personnel.
- Ensure works are completed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and RAMS.
- Monitor progress against the construction programme.
- Coordinate electrical works with civil, mechanical and commissioning activities.
- Ensure compliance with project electrical safety procedures, permits and isolations.
- Carry out regular inspections and monitor standards of workmanship.
- Manage snagging and completion of electrical works.
- Attend site meetings and provide progress updates.
- Ensure all site personnel follow project HSEQ requirements.
- Liaise with the client, engineers and other contractors.
- Support testing, commissioning and handover activities.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrical construction professional with a background in BESS, substations, HV/LV electrical installation, renewable energy or major power infrastructure projects., Previous experience as an Electrical Site Manager, Electrical Supervisor or Electrical Construction Manager. - Proven experience working on BESS, substations, renewable energy, HV/LV or major electrical projects.
- Experience managing electrical subcontractors and site teams.
- Strong understanding of electrical construction and installation practices.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation.
- Good knowledge of RAMS, permits, risk assessments and site safety procedures.
- Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills.
- Experience working within a live construction environment. Desirable Qualifications
- 18th Edition / NVQ Level 3 Electrical or equivalent.
- SMSTS / SSSTS.
- SHEA Power / EUSR.
- BESC or relevant HV safety training.
- Experience working on National Grid, DNO or major power infrastructure projects.
- ECS/JIB or equivalent site certification.
