Bonnie Electrics Ltd is an ambitious and expanding electrical contracting company based in South Lanarkshire, providing high-quality electrical installation, maintenance and testing services to domestic and commercial clients throughout Scotland.

Due to continued growth and an increasing workload, we are looking to recruit a skilled, reliable and motivated Electrician or Approved Electrician to join our team.

The Role

The successful candidate will carry out a wide range of electrical installation, inspection, testing and maintenance work across domestic and commercial properties.

Duties will include:

• Domestic and commercial electrical installations
• Full and partial property rewires
• Electrical fault finding, diagnostics and repairs
• Consumer unit and distribution board installations and upgrades
• Electrical inspection, testing and certification
• EICRs and remedial works
• Planned and reactive electrical maintenance
• Installation of lighting, power and emergency lighting systems
• Fire alarm, intruder alarm and CCTV installations
• EV charger installations
• Working independently and as part of a team
• Maintaining excellent standards of workmanship, health and safety and customer service

The role will involve attending multiple sites, liaising directly with customers and ensuring all work is completed to a high professional standard.

Essential Requirements

• Fully qualified electrician with relevant electrical qualifications
• Current 18th Edition BS 7671 qualification
• Experience in domestic and commercial electrical installations
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage daily workloads
• Good understanding of current electrical regulations and safe working practices
• Full UK driving licence
• Professional attitude and excellent communication skills
• Reliable, punctual and capable of producing high-quality work

Desirable Qualifications and Experience

• SJIB Approved Electrician grading
• City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing qualification or equivalent
• Valid ECS card
• Experience completing EICRs and electrical certification
• Fire alarm, intruder alarm and CCTV experience
• Experience in commercial maintenance and reactive call-outs
• EV charger installation experience
