An Opportunity has arisen within Community Safety Enforcement for two Enforcement Officers to join our team.
Enforcement Officers contribute to the safeguarding and well-being of our communities through our enforcement duties in relation to Parking, and Environmental Crime. Environmental Crime enforcement includes fly-tipping, littering, dog fouling and abandoned vehicles and parking enforcement includes both on and off street enforcement of established parking restrictions.
The successful candidate will be expected to undertake the range of enforcement duties and will join a team of officers that cover this important area of work across the Council area, in a diverse and vibrant working environment from urban and city settings to rural communities.
The post requires working over a 7 day period, working a variable shift pattern between 0700 and 2000 and is based predominately outdoors. The ability to be able to undertake prolonged periods of outdoor activity both on foot and driving vehicles is essential in addition to adopting a problem solving approach in day to day activities.
The successful candidate will be required to complete a Level 1 Disclosure Scotland check. If your application is progressed after the interview, you will be invited to complete the form and have your details verified.
If you are successful and progress to the next stage our assessment centre will take place in person on Wednesday 27th May 2026.
If you’ve got the right skills for the job we want to hear from you. We encourage applications from the right candidates regardless of age (restrictions apply to Modern Apprenticeships), disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, belief or race.
