Full Job Description

Our Enterprise Risk & Assurance Graduate Programme is designed for graduates who want to develop commercial and analytical expertise while making a real impact from day one. Over two years, you'll gain broad exposure across SSE, building a strong understanding of our business, strategy and operations while developing the skills needed for a long-term career in assurance, governance, risk or audit.

You'll gain experience across a range of assurance activities, including:

- Assurance and audit activities that provide insight and improve business performance.

- Risk identification, assessment and management.

- Data analysis and evidence-based decision-making.

- Governance and compliance within a complex and regulated organisation.

- Stakeholder engagement and business improvement.

- Continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen processes and ways of working.

Alongside real business experience, you'll benefit from mentoring, structured development opportunities and support from experienced colleagues across SSE. You'll also have access to a wide network of graduates and business leaders.

Following successful completion of the programme, you'll have the opportunity to progress into a role within Risk & Assurance, helping to strengthen governance, manage risk, improve performance and support informed decision-making across SSE.

You'll have a minimum of a 2:2 honours degree in any discipline. We welcome applications from graduates of all academic backgrounds. - Is curious, willing to ask questions and motivated to learn, develop new skills and explore new challenges.

- Works well with others, building positive relationships and bringing different perspectives together to achieve shared goals.

- Takes ownership, uses initiative and is committed to continuous improvement, personal development and making a meaningful contribution from day one.
