Experienced Barista – Full-Time or Part-Time

Location: Ninewells Hospital, Dundee

Hours: 7:00am – 6:00pm, 7 days a week (flexible shifts, including alternate weekends) 

About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled Barista with a passion for coffee and customer service to join our busy café located within Ninewells Hospital, Dundee. Our café is a high-traffic, fast-paced environment, and we need someone with experience in creating high-quality coffee and providing exceptional service in a dynamic setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve a wide range of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks
• Operate espresso machines and other coffee equipment with precision and efficiency
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene at all times
• Provide friendly, efficient service to customers, ensuring a positive café experience
• Handle cash and card transactions accurately
• Assist in the smooth running of the café, including restocking and maintaining inventory
• Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies
• Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure the café operates efficiently

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience as a Barista, with a solid understanding of coffee preparation and techniques
• Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, approachable demeanour
• Strong communication and team-working abilities
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, busy environment
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including alternate weekends
• A passion for coffee and a dedication to maintaining high standards of quality and service
