About the role

AIS Vanguard Limited are looking for reliable, experienced Fitters & Riggers to work

from our Scottish Branch based in Bellshill. Works are primarily in the Central Belt of

Scotland but covering works throughout Scotland, the UK & Europe. Some travel will

be required.

The work involved is typically machinery installations/removals, factory moves, heavy

or technical lifting projects or any project requiring the movement of machinery, plant

and associated ancillaries.

The content of the projects can include any or all of the following disciplines: - heavy

lifting, mechanical assembly/disassembly, electrical works, industrial pipework,

shipping, packing, demolition or any other required activity.

Group wide you would be joining a professional company currently employing over

200 skilled staff throughout the UK and Europe.

AIS Vanguard are a well-equipped business that holds a large stock of specialized

lifting and installation equipment designed to carry out our specialized engineering

tasks allowing us to carry out our duties safely.

Main Duties

  • Working to pre-prepared RAMS


  • Adhering to relevant health & safety rules & requirements


  • Correct use of tools & lifting/handling equipment


  • Assembly & disassembly of machinery, plant & equipment


  • Jacking, skating, hoisting, skidding various loads


  • Working within set time budgets


  • Complete relevant company paperwork relating to safety & assets


  • Ensuring the correct presentation of yourself & your equipment


  • This list is not exhaustive, and you will be required to undertake other duties as

    Other key skills/qualifications that would be advantageous:
  • Accredited Machine/Load Moving Qualification


  • Accredited Slinger Signaller Qualification


  • Accredited Forklift truck/Telescopic Handler Qualification


  • Accredited Access Platform Qualification


  • SSSTS/SSMTS/Safety Passport

  • Fairness, Do you have experience in Slinger Signaller, Machine/Load Moving, Access Platform and Telescopic Handler.


  • Do you hold a SSSTS/SSMTS Safety Passport qualification and CPCS Blue Operators Card.

    Experience:
  • Mechanical knowledge: 5 years (required)

  • Forklift: 2 years (required)

  • Heavy lifting: 1 year (required)
