0-5 hours / month You will need to commit to 4 quarterly meetings per year and allow a degree of flexibility to provide ad-hoc support on Risk and Assurance matters, Are you keen to contribute to the biggest health and social care issue of our time? As an External Member of our Audit, Assurance & Risk Committee at Alzheimer's Society, you will be crucial in shaping our strategy and governance, particularly in relation to risk management and audit oversight. Your expertise will help us navigate challenges and seize opportunities, ensuring we continue to serve our community effectively.,

  • You will need to commit to 4 quarterly meetings per year and allow a degree of flexibility to provide some ad-hoc support on Risk and Assurance matters. Interviews for this role will take place on 28th October 2024.

  • Financial management, Are you keen to contribute to the biggest health and social care issue of our time? Do you have key knowledge and experience of risk management & assurance that you're willing to share?, Proven experience in implementing an enterprise risk management framework.
  • Strong background in assessing risk tolerances and enabling leadership to manage the risk profile.
  • Expertise overseeing 3 Lines of Defence (3LOD) and evaluating different models.
  • Ability to think strategically about risk management for current and emerging risks.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with teams, providing guidance and support through coaching and mentoring.

    The charity is in an exciting place with its 'Help and Hope' Strategy and is making great strides in delivering its aims. The Board of Trustees is responsible for providing appropriate oversight, governance, and leadership to the Society in pursuing its strategies to fulfil its charitable purposes and has a small number of committees to support this process.
