Fabricator

As a Fabricator, you'll play a central role in the outfitting and construction of ship interiors, working across a wide variety of structural and outfitting tasks that directly support the build of our Type 31 warships. Your work will help ensure that each vessel meets the highest standards of safety, quality and reliability, while giving you hands-on experience in one of the most exciting and impactful engineering environments in the UK. Day-to-day, you'll be required to:

• Carry out cutting, grinding and drilling tasks to prepare and shape components.
• Use burning equipment safely and effectively as part of the fabrication process.
• Install and fit out ship interiors including cupboards, benches, furniture and seating.
• Support fabrication tasks across the Type 31 production environment.
• Work collaboratively with production teams to meet project milestones and quality standards.
  
  Light or heavy fabrication experience
• Grinding, cutting and drilling experience.
• Burning experience.
• Shipbuilding experience preferred but will consider other industries.
Qualifications for the Fabricator:
• SVQ / NVQ Level 3 in Fabrication (or equivalent)
Security Clearance The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
