Face-to-Face Fundraiser | Direct Sales Professional - SCOTLAND
Good conversations can change everything.
At The Professional Fundraiser, we believe meaningful human conversation still matters. It’s having conversations that create impact.
Every day, our fundraisers meet people in busy high streets, shopping centres, events and venues across Scotland. They stop, listen, talk, share a story and, sometimes, change someone's mind about giving to a cause they care about.
That might sound simple. It isn't.
It takes confidence, empathy, curiosity and the ability to genuinely connect with people. And when it works, it creates something meaningful, a new supporter for a charity and a great sense of achievement for the person who started that conversation.
That's where you come in.
Who is TPF?
We're The Professional Fundraiser, but TPF is about much more than fundraising.
We're a nationwide team of people who care about doing things properly, for our charity partners, for the public and, importantly, for each other.
We're ambitious. We have high standards. We take pride in what we do.
But we're also a people-first business.
We believe that people do their best work when they're properly supported, listened to and given the opportunity to grow. Our team is at the heart of everything we do, and we want your experience with TPF to be something you're genuinely proud of.
We're proud to have been recognised in The Sunday Times' Best Places to Work, and we're always looking for great people to join us.
Fundraising at TPF
We are fortunate to have many amazing charities in our portfolio, and 2027 brings a brand new partner to TPF.
Macmillan Cancer Support's mission is to provide every person with cancer the best support from the moment of diagnosis, offering information, guidance, and care tailored to their unique experiences. They are committed to doing whatever it takes to ensure the best support today and to spark a revolution in cancer care for the future.
This isn't about delivering a script and moving on. It's about listening, understanding people and having a conversation that creates impact. You'll be talking to people about regular giving and lottery products, helping them find a way to support a cause that means something to them.
Never worked in fundraising before?
Fundraising is a unique role, but if you're comfortable talking to people, have some sales or customer-facing experience and enjoy meeting new people, we'd love to hear from you.
We don't expect you to arrive knowing everything.
You'll start with our focused induction programme, including three days in our beautiful countryside setting, where you'll learn about fundraising, our charity partners and, just as importantly, who we are and how we work.
We will be holding a dedicated induction programme for MacMillan Cancer Support on; Tuesday 5th - Thursday 7th January 2027
Are you an experienced Fundraiser? Start your journey with Macmillan Cancer Support, complete our dedicated induction, and claim your £500 welcome bonus**
If you’d prefer not to wait, you can join us sooner by representing one of our other charity partners. Our next induction is 24th - 26th November
From there, you'll have ongoing support from your management team and the wider TPF family.
What does being part of TPF feel like?
We work hard, but we look after our people.
You'll have people around you who want you to do well, managers who are there to support you and a team that understands first-hand the challenges, and the rewards, of working face to face with the public.
What we offer
We want the experience of working with us to match the standards we set for our charity partners.
Depending on your contract, you'll have access to:
- Self-employed contracts paying up to £65 per sign-up
- Employed contracts *terms and conditions apply*
- OTE of £55,000, uncapped
- 28 days' holiday, including bank holidays, increasing with length of service (employed contracts)
- Expenses support, including parking and mileage
- Uniform, equipment and e-tablet provided
- Full induction and ongoing training
- Ongoing support from your Field Sales Manager and National Sales Manager
- Real opportunities to develop your career
And perhaps most importantly, you'll be joining a team where your contribution is noticed.
Could this be you?
We're looking for Scottish based people with personality, drive and a genuine interest in people. You might already have experience in fundraising or face-to-face sales. You might come from utilities, energy sales or another customer-facing role. You might simply be someone who is confident starting a conversation with a stranger and curious about where that could take you.
Whether you're based in Scotland or the North of England, if you're open to crossing the border for work, we’d love to hear from you!
You'll probably enjoy this role if you:
- Like meeting different people every day
- Are confident having conversations with members of the public
- Care about doing a good job, not just hitting a number
- Have energy, ambition and a positive attitude
- Are open to working weekends
- Are comfortable setting up and working from promotional stands
- Are happy to travel: the more flexible you are, the more opportunities and venues become available
- Have a full driving licence and access to a car, helpful, but not essential
- Have previous fundraising, sales or customer-facing experience, also helpful, but not essential
Most of all, we're looking for people who care about people. Don’t take our word for it, our fundraisers are our biggest advocates. You can hear it directly from them via our YouTube Channel, and on our social media via @profundraiseruk
A place for everyone

We are committed to Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Access, and we want people from all backgrounds to feel that they can build a career here.
We believe in fair opportunities, listening to different perspectives and creating an environment where people can do their best work.
If you're someone who wants to work somewhere ambitious without losing the human side of work, we'd love to hear from you.
Come and meet us
