Facilities Assistant (Peripatetic)

Preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check, prior to confirmation of employment being made by North Ayrshire Council. Please note, successful candidates will be expected to meet the cost of the relevant PVG check (£59 or £18), which will be deducted from your salary following commencement of employment. Reporting to the Catering Supervisor you will assist in the provision of a quality catering service within this location and associated locations, as required. As a Facilities Assistant within a kitchen, you will prepare and serve meals, operate a till and undertake specific cleaning duties. You must have the ability to work under pressure, be a team player and operate within food safety and nutritional guidelines.

Flexibility regarding start and finish times, to meet the needs of the service, would be desirable. This is a peripatetic post, meaning the successful candidate will be required to work across a range of locations within the service area rather than being based at a single workplace. This post is term time. Start date is subject to satisfactory PVG and Occupational Health checks.
