Full Job Description
The Field Engineering Manager is responsible for the leadership, development and management of a team of Team Leaders and Field Engineers across several regional teams based throughout the UK. You will also be responsible for all field-based activities covering deployment of new services at both Vodafone and customer locations, as well as the ongoing maintenance and assurance activities in line with contracted SLAs.
( Maintain and build relationship with Project, Operations, design & build teams to ensure customer Build/Run requirements are understood and met, as well as handed into Operations
( Manage team workload/communication to ensure that service delivery is understood and met within delivery SLAs, whilst providing ongoing fault support.
( Ensure core site information, documentation and as built information is kept up-to-date and available to wider teams
( To lead on all installation/field security standards, as well as training/development for the field team and HS&E requirements, mirroring and conforming to the wider Vodafone standards
( Provide point of escalation for build and fault related matters and all HS&E requirements.
( Experience in managing the workload of team leaders, field engineering teams and the ability to work unsupervised for extended periods.
( Technical knowledge of customer transmission and data networks
( Experience of managing teams who build and deploy new services at customer locations
( A clear and analytical approach to workflow management
( Previous experience of being a point of escalation for build and fault related matters and all HS&E requirements.
Security Clearance: This position requires the eligibility and ability to obtain and hold UK Developed Vetting (DV) clearance.
