Finance and Corporate Services Apprentice

Job purpose: Ferguslie Park Housing Association is a community-based housing association providing affordable, quality housing and support services to tenants in Ferguslie Park and the surrounding area. The organisation is committed to improving local communities through excellent housing management, tenant engagement, and community development. We are looking for a motivated Finance & Corporate Services Apprentice to join our team. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Modern Apprentice to join our Finance & Corporate Services team.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in finance while working towards a recognised qualification. You will receive support and training while developing skills in areas such as:

• Processing invoices and payments

• Maintaining financial records

• Assisting with reconciliations and financial transactions

• Supporting income and expenditure monitoring

• Using financial and office systems

• Providing general administrative support

You’ll gain practical experience across finance and corporate services, work alongside experienced colleagues, and receive support to build your skills and confidence while working towards your qualification.

For the right candidate there is an opportunity to become a permanent member of our Finance and Corporate Services Team. There is an excellent opportunity to continue to gain qualification and experience.

Both of our previous apprentices within our Housing and Property Teams have gained permanent roles within the organisation following completion of their modern apprenticeship.

25 days annual leave and 15 public holiday per year.

Office is based in Tannahill Centre in Paisley

What will I learn? You will gain hands-on experience in finance, supporting accounts payable, invoices, payments, financial records, reconciliations, budgeting and reporting, while working towards an Accounts SCQF L6 Apprenticeship supported by Babington.

What qualifications or qualities are required? We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual who is keen to learn and develop a career in finance and corporate services. You will have a positive attitude, good attention to detail, an interest in working with numbers and information, and a willingness to develop your IT and administrative skills.

You will be organised, reliable and able to communicate effectively with others. Most importantly, you will demonstrate a commitment to learning, teamwork, confidentiality and providing a professional service.

Minimum of 3 Highers including at least one of the following: Maths, Accounting or Business Management.
