Finance Manager

Iconic Resourcing are delighted to be partnering with our hugely successful global manufacturing client on a retained/exclusive basis to recruit the position of Finance Manager for local operation based in Grangemouth. Due to recent organisation and operational change, the team needs support on a contract basis (18 months) and will prove to be a pivotal position that will work closely with the Finance Director.

Reporting directly to the Group Finance Director, you will be tasked with developing key external relationships with Auditors and Tax Advisors, whilst also forming an effective partnering relationship internally with production/manufacturing; R&D; procurement; commercial; HR and wider operations teams.

Key focus/deliverables of the role:

• Delivery of effective financial and statutory reporting, under UK / US Gaap.
• Review impairment of assets and other provisions required.
• Prepare and complete annual statutory accounts and tax returns for the company.
• Prepare re-budgets, forecasts and plans for Group.
• Review Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Ensuring appropriate financial controls are in place
• Primary contact for Auditors and Tax Advisors, HMRC, Companies House etc.
• Manage the process for R&D Claims and other similar repayments from HMRC

You will be a qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA), with proven experience in a similar role. Ideally, you will have manufacturing/production experience, however this is not essential. A good working knowledge of taxation i.e. Corporation Tax, VAT or R&D claims will be a nice to have.

Candidates who can demonstrate working and delivering to key deadlines and timescales whilst working in a highly organised manner will be strongly considered for this position.
