Finance Manager

Glasgow | Hybrid Working | Permanent | 35 Hours
Morgan Hunt are supporting a well-established social housing organisation in the recruitment of a Finance Manager to join their senior finance team.
Reporting to the Director of Finance, you'll lead a small finance team while taking ownership of management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, treasury management and financial reporting across the organisation.
Alongside the day-to-day finance responsibilities, this role offers the opportunity to help shape the continued development of the finance function. The organisation has invested in new systems and is keen to continue improving reporting, streamlining processes and making the most of its finance technology.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining technical finance with leadership, business partnering and continuous improvement.
The Role
You'll be responsible for:
- Leading, developing and supporting a small finance team.
- Producing monthly management accounts, budgets and forecasts.
- Treasury management and cashflow reporting.
- Preparing VAT returns and supporting statutory reporting.
- Partnering with budget holders across the organisation.
- Supporting business planning and financial decision-making.
- Identifying opportunities to improve finance processes and reporting.
- Contributing to the ongoing development of finance systems.
About You
You'll ideally bring:
Essential
- Qualified accountant (ACCA, ICAS, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent).
- Experience producing management and statutory accounts.
- Previous finance team leadership experience.
- Strong budgeting, forecasting and financial planning skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Desirable
- Experience within social housing, charity or another regulated environment.
- Treasury management experience.
- Knowledge of loan portfolios and covenant compliance.
- Experience improving finance systems or reporting processes.
