Finance Manager (Part-Time)

Job Title: Finance Manager

Contract: Part-Time, 3 days per week

Location: Glasgow, Hybrid

Salary: £52,000 - £58,000

Rutherford Cross is working with an established, complex organisation, seeking a qualified accountant to manage the financial operations of a portfolio of subsidiary companies.

This is a broad, hands‑on role covering month‑end close, management reporting, statutory accounts, board engagement, and audit management across multiple legal entities. The successful candidate will act as a trusted financial advisor, providing clear insight, maintaining strong controls, and supporting informed operational and strategic decision‑making.

This role offers variety, visibility, and the opportunity to work closely with senior stakeholders in a collaborative, purpose‑driven environment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Owning month‑end close, reconciliations, invoicing, and cashflow across multiple subsidiaries
• Preparing management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and insightful variance analysis
• Producing year‑end statutory financial statements and acting as primary contact for external auditors
• Presenting financial performance at subsidiary board meetings
• Managing intercompany accounting and supporting group consolidation
• Supporting tax compliance and maintaining robust financial controls and governance

About you:

• Fully qualified accountant (CA / ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with relevant post‑qualification experience
• Strong technical accounting knowledge and experience preparing statutory and management accounts
• Comfortable operating in a high‑volume, complex environment
• Confident communicator able to explain financial matters to non‑finance stakeholders
• Highly organised, detail‑focused, and able to manage competing deadlines
