Finance Officer

📍 Wider Glasgow Region | 36,517 per annum | Temporary Contract

Full-time | 35 hours per week, 5 days per week | Fully office-based

An established housing association is looking for an experienced Finance Officer to provide temporary support within its finance team. This is a hands-on, transactional role suited to someone who enjoys getting stuck into day-to-day finance operations. The assignment is expected to run until approximately February/March 2027, with an immediate start available.

The Role

Working closely with the finance team, you'll help maintain day-to-day financial operations while supporting improvements to existing processes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting transactional finance activities, including payments, reconciliations and financial administration.
• Maintaining accurate financial records and assisting with routine reporting.
• Helping review and improve existing finance processes.
• Providing practical support to the wider finance team during a busy period.

About You

Essential:

• Previous experience in a hands-on finance or accounting role.
• Strong transactional finance skills and attention to detail.
• Confidence working independently and managing competing priorities.
• Availability to start at short notice and work on-site five days per week.

Desirable:

• Previous experience within a housing association or similar organisation.
• Familiarity with housing finance systems.
• Experience supporting process improvements.

• Salary equivalent to 36,517 per annum.
• Full-time hours, Monday to Friday.
• Temporary assignment expected to run until February/March 2027.
