Full Job Description

As a Finance & Procurement Placement, you'll become part of a team helping deliver services that support the Council's strategic priorities and financial sustainability. You'll work alongside experienced colleagues on a variety of projects, gaining experience across different areas of Finance and Procurement while developing the professional skills needed for your future career. Throughout your placement you'll receive structured support, mentoring and development, giving you the opportunity to build confidence, expand your knowledge and make a genuine contribution. What You'll Do You could be involved in:

  • Supporting improvement and transformation projects.
  • Researching new ideas and best practice.
  • Preparing reports, presentations and briefing papers.
  • Analysing financial, procurement and performance information.
  • Supporting workforce planning and organisational improvement.
  • Helping teams improve processes and services.
  • Working with colleagues across different Council services.
