Albert Bartlett, a leading name in the potato industry, is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial record-keeping, and supporting the preparation of financial statements. As a Financial Accountant at Albert Bartlett, you will work closely with the accounting team to maintain financial controls, handle month-end and year-end close processes, and assist in various reporting activities that contribute to the financial health of the company.,
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records in line with company policies and accounting standards.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports.
- Support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate any discrepancies.
- Prepare and process journals, accruals, and prepayments as required.
- Assist with VAT returns and other compliance-related tasks.
- Work with the finance team to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiencies.
- Provide support during external audits and liaise with auditors as necessary.
Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) or part-qualified. - Min 2 years of experience in a financial accounting role in a Manufacturing Environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Experience with accounting software and proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, capable of working well within a team and with other departments
- Ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a team-oriented environment.
