Full Job Description
Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative Trainer to deliver the Health & Social Care Foundation Apprenticeship in various schools across Aberdeenshire. As part of the Foundation Apprenticeship Team, you will play an important role in sharing your professional experience and teaching young people in a dynamic, multi-site environment.
The successful candidate will deliver both the NPA and SVQ components of the programme, bringing real-world Health and Social Care knowledge into the learning experience. Support and training will be provided to achieve the SVQ Assessor qualification if not already held.
You will have substantial experience working within Health and/or Social Care settings, along with a strong understanding of effective practice in this sector. While previous experience in training is not essential, the ability to engage, motivate, and support young people as they develop skills for future careers is key.
Foundation Apprenticeships have become a highly successful part of Aberdeenshire’s Senior phase curriculum offer, driving significant increases in levels of achievement and having positive and significant transformational impacts on the opportunities and life chances for our young people. We welcome applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates who wish to become a part of the team and help continue to build upon this success.
There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.
Fixed term for a period not exceeding 01/07/2027
Informal enquiries to: Mary O'Brien
