Freelance Site Engineer

Our client, a reputable infrastructure contractor, is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to support ongoing substation works in Peterhead. This is an excellent opportunity to join a major energy project, where you will play a key role in setting out, quality assurance, and ensuring works are delivered safely, accurately, and in line with project specifications., Carry out setting out and surveying duties for substation and associated civil engineering works
- Ensure all works are delivered in accordance with design drawings, specifications, and project requirements
- Maintain accurate site records including as-built information, quality documentation, and daily reports
- Support the site management team with planning and coordination of site activities
- Liaise with subcontractors and project stakeholders to ensure efficient delivery of works
- Conduct quality inspections and ensure compliance with project standards
- Promote and maintain strong health & safety standards across the site
- Assist in resolving technical issues and provide engineering support throughout the project

Previous experience working as a Site Engineer on civil engineering, infrastructure, or substation projects
- Proficient in setting out using Leica, Trimble, or equivalent surveying equipment
- Strong understanding of QA procedures and engineering documentation
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Valid CSCS Card
- SSSTS or SMSTS preferred
- Full UK Driving Licence
