Full Job Description

To help create a friendly, welcoming, caring environment for customers of Live Active Loch Leven / Community Campus., Operational Duties
Key Tasks

  • You will be responsible for creating and maintaining the desired image of Live Active Loch Leven / Community Campus through a welcoming, friendly approach to all customers

  • To be a member of a team trained in accident prevention, aquatic rescue and first aid

  • To ensure the safety of customers through encouraging safe recreation and activity

  • To carry out rescues and to administer remedial treatment as may be defined in the Normal Operating Procedure and Emergency Action Plan

  • To maintain a high standard of cleanliness both within and outside the facility at all times. This will include public toilets, shower areas, cafeteria, staff areas and outdoors

  • To assist with the setting out and clearing away of equipment and furniture

  • Other Tasks
  • To teach lessons and classes as required


  • Health and Safety
    Key Tasks
  • To comply with the requirements of the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and all supplementary legislation


  • Training
    Key Tasks
  • To attend regular staff training sessions, be they held in in-house or externally

  • To maintain the standard required for the current RLSS Pool Lifeguard Award


  • General
    Key Tasks
  • To ensure you are physically fit to carry out your duties at all times

  • To carry out other reasonable duties as may be required

  • Maintain confidentiality and observe data protection guidelines

  • To undertake other related duties as may be required by the Company

    A National Pool Lifeguard Qualification is essential. A Scottish Swimming Teachers Qualification (or equivalent) is also essential - or must be obtained within 6 months of appointment.
