About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven General Foreman to join a well-established, family-led civil engineering and construction business operating across the UK. With over 60 years of industry experience, the organisation delivers a wide range of infrastructure and construction projects spanning sectors such as earthworks, infrastructure, energy, and remediation.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate daily site operations on civil engineering projects
• Supervise site teams, subcontractors, and plant to ensure efficient delivery
• Ensure all works are carried out safely, in line with company procedures and industry standards
• Monitor progress against programme and report regularly to Site Management
• Maintain high standards of quality and environmental compliance
• Support planning and coordination of labour, materials, and plant requirements
• Promote a positive, team-focused culture on site

About You

• Proven experience in a General Foreman or supervisory role within civil engineering
• Strong background in infrastructure, earthworks, or related sectors
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Solid understanding of health & safety regulations and best practice
• Ability to manage multiple work fronts and meet programme deadlines
• SSSTS/SMSTS (or equivalent) preferred
• Full UK driving licence
