Position Summary

The General Manager of SUSHISAMBA is responsible for leading all aspects of the restaurant's operations, driving commercial performance, delivering exceptional guest experiences, and developing a high-performing team culture. Reporting to the Director of Operations, this role oversees financial performance, operational excellence, talent management, compliance, and brand standards while ensuring the continued success of both SUSHISAMBA and Joao's Place cocktail bar.

What You'll Do

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for all aspects of the restaurant's performance.
• Recruit, develop, engage, and retain exceptional hospitality talent.
• Design, implement, and maintain restaurant policies, procedures, and service standards.
• Develop and deliver comprehensive training programmes to ensure outstanding guest service and operational consistency.
• Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement across the restaurant team.
• Ensure compliance with all licensing legislation, liquor laws, health and safety regulations, and food hygiene standards.
• Manage departmental budgets and financial performance, driving revenue growth and profitability while maintaining guest and employee satisfaction.
• Analyse operational and financial performance metrics, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, service delivery, and profitability.
• Collaborate closely with hotel leadership and department heads to achieve shared business objectives.
• Oversee operations of Joao's Place, ensuring a consistent and premium guest experience.
• Act as a brand ambassador for both W Hotels and SUSHISAMBA, bringing each brand's distinctive personality to life through every guest and associate interaction.

What You'll Bring

• A minimum of six years' management experience within hospitality, food and beverage, or restaurant operations.
• Proven experience working within high-end, high-volume restaurant environments.
• Experience leading brand-driven restaurant concepts and hospitality operations.
• Demonstrated leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, profitability, and operational performance.
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
• The ability to inspire, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
• A positive mindset and solutions-focused approach.
• A genuine passion for hospitality and delivering memorable guest experiences.
