Job Description

Build relationships with parents, carers and children taking part in the Early Years Health Visiting Pathway.

Encourage families to connect and build trusting relationships with local services and community networks.

 

Responsibilities

• Work alongside Moray Pathways and local partners to understand the needs, strengths and circumstances of whole families.

• Develop supportive, person‑centred learning and wellbeing opportunities to help families thrive

• Work alongside individuals and their families, offering consistent, end‑to‑end support that helps them to thrive, while continuing to nurture positive and sustainable outcomes.

• Work with and support the Lived Experienced Advisory Group in co-designing session content with families and partners

• Facilitate participation of parents as peer contributors, co-facilitators and evaluators

• Co-ordinate, review and evaluate the effectiveness of the family learning experience

 

The Individual

• Experience supporting children, families, or adults in community, health, social care, early years, or third sector settings.

• Strong relationship‑building skills and a trauma‑informed, strengths‑based approach. • Excellent communication skills and ability to convey child development and service information clearly.

• Experience facilitating groups or community‑based sessions.

• Ability to work flexibly and travel across Moray.

• Ability to gather and interpret data for monitoring and evaluation.

• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple agencies.

· Ability to maintain effective partnerships and positive relationships with individuals, colleagues, partners and employers

· Ability to develop new opportunities and opportunities for individuals.

· Ability to follow current safeguarding guidelines and have working knowledge of current policies and procedures

· Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal and the ability to communicate with people at all levels.

· Ability to form productive working relationships with colleagues and partner agencies. · Commitment to the importance of confidentiality

· Ability to work independently

· Ability to work flexibly to meet the needs and demands of the service.

· Ability to work in an open plan/shared office

· Ability to work in different offices depending on the needs of the service.

· You will be expected to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within Moray to meet the operational requirements of the Service. Due to the rural nature of Moray this is normally undertaken by use of a car.

 

This post is considered to be a ‘Regulated Role’ under the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020. Under the Act it is a legal requirement for an individual undertaking a regulated role with children or protected adults to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme. Therefore, the successful candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check prior to any formal offer of employment being made by Moray Council

 

Temporary position until 31/03/2028

Starting Salary: £ 32,742.45

Hourly Rate: £17.37

Hours: 36.25 hours a week
