Full Job Description

Peace Recruitment are working with an award winning, leading independent, multi-disciplinary construction and property consultancy who are looking to grow there established team in Edinburgh. 

This is a role for an Experienced Building Surveying Graduate/Intermediate Building Surveyor who are working towards APC who are looking to further their career.

About the role

Assisting the established building surveying team. You will carry out the day-to-day duties of a Building Surveyor on allocated projects, assist the management team with the mentoring of junior staff and resource management, and work towards designated RICS APC route.

 

Experience requirements

❖ AutoCAD proficient

❖ Building surveys: condition surveys, schedules of condition, defects diagnosis inspections, detailed measured surveys

. ❖ Project building surveying: design including the preparation of AutoCAD drawings, preparation of statutory consent applications, preparation of tender documents, project monitoring and contract administration.

❖ Building pathology: identifying building defects and failures and developing solutions including advice on estimated costs and programme.

❖ Property management: preparation of planned maintenance programmes including elemental cost preparation.

❖ CDM services (desirable but not essential)

 

About you

❖ Building Surveying BSc or BSc (Hons) degree (accredited by RICS) 

❖ Competency in using AutoCAD 

❖ Knowledge of refurbishment and alteration of existing buildings (essential)

❖ Relevant building surveying consultancy experience (essential)

❖ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

❖ Desire to progress your career with a leading consultancy

❖ Full UK driving licence and have use of own vehicle
