Graduate Building Surveyor

As part of our ambitious growth strategy, we are looking to appoint a Graduate Building Surveyor to join the team in our central Glasgow office. As a Graduate Building Surveyor you can expect to be working on real projects across both the private and public sector, including education, defence, healthcare, custodial, residential, culture & heritage, retail, sports & leisure and workplace, to name a few. You will be joining a supportive network as part of a national team, where you will receive valuable training, guidance and genuine scope for career development. Your core duties will include:

• Supporting the preparation of surveys, designs, reports and contract documents, including drawings.
• General administration of team projects.
• Supporting senior leads with the delivery of projects.
• Managing small / medium sized projects as appropriate.
• Attending meetings/ presentations where appropriate.
• Supporting / undertaking on-site or other survey work.
• Ensuring that you understand and comply with all Health & Safety requirements, practices, and procedures.

Our ideal Graduate Building Surveyor will have:
• A RICS accredited degree of 2:1 or above in Building Surveying (Expected/Achieved).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as you will be liaising with both internal and external stakeholders.
• The ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team.
• Able to work to deadlines and manage time with multiple tasks.
• Will demonstrate a desire to learn, a hunger for progression and conscientious attitude.
• Be committed to continued professional development and are looking to achieve MRICS statutes within 3-4 years.
• Have previous work experience/placement in a Building Surveying role (desirable, not essential).
