Full Job Description

Rutherford Cross is working with one of its clients to recruit a Graduate Finance Analyst to join a growing business based in Alexandria. This role is ideal for a finance, accounting, economics or business graduate, or someone with up to two years' experience in a finance or accounts role who is looking to develop a career in commercial finance.

More than anything, the organisation is looking for someone with an inquisitive mindset, a willingness to learn, and the confidence to ask questions. If you're naturally curious, enjoy working with numbers, and want to understand how a business operates, we'd love to hear from you.

The Role:

Working alongside an experienced finance team, you'll gain exposure to a wide range of financial and commercial activities, supporting reporting, analysis and decision-making across the business.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Producing regular financial and operational reports
  • Analysing data to identify trends, opportunities and areas for improvement
  • Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes
  • Assisting with commercial analysis and performance reporting
  • Working with stakeholders across different departments
  • Supporting continuous improvements to reporting and processes
  • Helping to turn data into meaningful business insight

About You:

We're open to candidates from a variety of backgrounds, however you'll ideally have:

  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Mathematics or a related discipline, or relevant experience or up to two years' relevant experience
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Good Excel skills and confidence working with data
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
  • A proactive approach and willingness to take ownership

Most importantly, you'll be:

  • Naturally curious and eager to learn
  • Inquisitive and not afraid to ask "why?"
  • Positive, enthusiastic and driven
  • Keen to build a long-term career within finance

What's on Offer:

  • Competitive salary + bonus
  • Excellent training and development opportunities
  • Exposure to commercial finance and business partnering
  • Supportive and collaborative working environment
  • Clear opportunities for career progression

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone at the beginning of their finance career to join a business where development, learning and attitude are genuinely valued.
