We have exciting opportunities for Ground Investigation Technicians to join the UK's largest and most diverse geotechnical and ground engineering contractor. The role will be challenging, demanding, varied and a fantastic opportunity to begin your career alongside the support offered from our vastly experienced team. What you'll be doing:

  • Getting out and about, gathering geotechnical and geoenvironmental data from a wide range of work environments across the UK.
  • Support team members in the management of geotechnical project data.
  • Assist with various field activities to enable the assessment and analysis of geotechnical conditions and investigations
  • Playing a key role in the preparation and processing of samples for laboratory testing of soil and rock samples
  • Facilitating good project management practices
  • Take a proactive approach in the responsibility for Health and Safety
  • Reflect and promote Van Elle company values through your work and conduct

    IT competent in Microsoft packages
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work effectively to deadlines and under pressure
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy of work
  • Effective planning and organisation skills
  • A problem-solving attitude
  • Have good written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and work within the relevant legal and safety regulations
  • Experience in construction or other ground-related industries [preferable]
  • Experience driving larger vehicles such as 4x4s and vans [preferable]
  • Valid CSCS [preferable]
  • Other Requirements:
  • Eligible to work and live in the UK.
  • Flexibility to travel in the UK.
  • A full driving licence, that is valid in the UK (essential)

    Competitive salary depending on experience.
  • Hours of work are 7.30am - 5.00pm, Monday to Friday however flexibility is required
  • 25 days holiday plus bank/public holidays.
