Full Job Description
Beatson Cancer Charity is looking for an experienced and empathetic Group Support Facilitatorto join our Bereavement Support Service. Working as part of a psychologist-led team, you willsupport people who have been bereaved by cancer.,
- Conducting triage and assessment of new referrals.
- Undertaking risk assessments and making appropriate onward referrals.
- Supporting the delivery of ACT-based bereavement group programmes.
- Providing pre and post-group psychosocial support and coaching.
- Using validated assessment tools to plan and evaluate support.
- Maintaining accurate records and outcome data.
- Building relationships with stakeholders and contributing to service development.
You will be a compassionate professional with experience supporting individuals and families affected by long-term health conditions and emotional distress. You will be educated to a, degree level or equivalent within a relevant field (Health, Psychology, AHP, Nursing, SocialSciences, Counselling, CBT) and possess excellent communication, assessment and relationshipbuildingskills. Experience in bereavement support, cancer care, ACT-based approaches or groupfacilitation would be advantageous. - 40 days annual leave pro rata, inclusive of public holidays.
