Groups & Events Executive

Job Summary A fantastic opportunity for a Groups and Events Executive to join our Cluster Commercial Office at InterContinental Edinburgh the George and Kimpton Charlotte Square Hotel on a Full-Time contract. Salary: £28,731.51 plus a 10% half-yearly bonus of annual base salary. Experience in groups, meetings & events (hotel or destination venues, sales administration) is required. Benefits

Responsibilities
• Liaise with clients to ensure accurate details for each event & reservation are obtained.
• Consistently deliver an excellent service to all guests and clients making enquiries or bookings at the hotel, with face-to-face and telephone meetings.
• Establish client requirements and identify how the hotel can facilitate their needs.
• Respond to all M&E enquiries in line with company standard.
• Maximise sales, occupancy and revenue by up-selling equipment, F&B and relevant hotel facilities wherever possible.
• Accurately input all enquiries into the Sales and Catering system.
• Compile accurate function sheets, distribute weekly and discuss with Operations Team, updating as required.
• Actively work as part of a team to achieve the department objectives and budget.
• Consider prevention, recovery, and investigation of any complaints.
