Full Job Description
Are you an experienced and motivated Housekeeper with a passion for maintaining high standards? Do you take pride in creating environments where people feel comfortable, respected, and at home? If so, we'd love you to join us as our Head Housekeeper.
What We Offer
£13.21 per hour
Contracted to full time hours per week
Flexible shifts on offer
At our home, we believe that outstanding care goes hand in hand with exceptional standards of cleanliness and organisation. As Head Housekeeper, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our home remains a safe, welcoming, and hygienic place for residents, visitors, and staff.
You'll lead the housekeeping team, working closely with the management and care teams to ensure all areas of the home meet the highest standards of cleanliness, infection control, and presentation.
Why this role matters:
As Head Housekeeper, you are key to the wellbeing, comfort, and dignity of our residents. Your role is about more than cleaning - it's about creating a homely atmosphere, preventing infection, and ensuring every resident lives in a clean, safe, and pleasant environment.
You'll oversee daily cleaning schedules, manage stock and supplies, carry out audits, and support training within your team, ensuring standards are consistently met.
You have previous experience in housekeeping, ideally in a care home, healthcare, or hospitality environment, and you're confident supervising or leading a team. You have a strong understanding of cleaning procedures, COSHH, and infection prevention and control.
You're organised, reliable, and take pride in your work, with a keen eye for detail and high standards.
About you:
You're approachable, supportive, and lead by example. You communicate well with colleagues, residents, and visitors, and understand the importance of dignity, respect, and professionalism. You're proactive, flexible, and committed to creating an environment where people feel safe, comfortable, and cared for.
If you're ready to take on a leadership role where your work truly makes a difference every day, we'd love to hear from you.
