Comex 2000 is currently seeking an enthusiastic and committed Head of Build to join our Infill PIA team in Scotland

We are looking for The role will be responsible for leading, motivating and developing the team to support the delivery and profitability of our projects in line with contractual, legal, regulatory, and business requirements, with particular emphasis on large and/or complex opportunities across the Department.

You will be developing the team into a centre of excellence and ensuring that there is a key focus on quality, on-time delivery of the work commitments and adherence to safety standards.
As a Head of Build - Infill PIA your core responsibilities will be supporting the Director and other functions where appropriate to improve processes, develop though leadership for achieving commercial success in all areas and enhance employee engagement. This will also require you to manage ad hoc projects and requests from time to time and act as deputy for the Director on in-life contract management queries.

What will you be doing?

As a Head of Build, your core responsibilities will be -

  • To manage and take ownership for all major projects & frameworks which are either new or in-life. Providing high quality operational and commercial leadership, delivering revenue and profit, whilst maintaining strong client relationships

  • Overseeing all activities and resource to ensure that design, procurement, financial control and site activities are managed to the highest standards in all areas of the project delivery

  • Working with the client to enable the most efficient and cost-effective approach in delivering an outstanding program of works and project

  • Continuously reviewing and agreeing work commitments with both the Client and the project team to ensure progress is in line with agreed volume commitments and timeframes and any approved contractual obligations

  • Escalating any variations or major changes to the project, including any commercial impact to project delivery where necessary

  • To develop, implement and oversee systems, processes, and procedures to manage risks and contractual obligations, achieving optimum value from the contracts and ensuring there is full awareness for all respective teams involved in the programs / projects

  • Development of strong team working relationships, being hands on and a point of escalation to ensure the effective management and administration of programs and or projects

  • Prepare guidance for relevant stakeholders associated with the contract and regularly review performance against the project both internally with the team and with the Client, whilst driving cost base improvements

  • Working closely with all internal departments to ensure compliance around safety and quality, resource planning and financial management.

  • Prepare and present Client KPI reviews, consistency in delivery is key.
