Health & Safety Manager - Livingston 📍

Permanent, Full Time (part time would be considered)

Hours: Monday - Thursday: 7:30am - 4:00pm, Friday: 7:30am - 1:00pm (hello long weekends 😄🎉)

Salary: Up to 45k (negotiable) 💰

🚀 About the Opportunity

Office Angels are recruiting for a proactive and driven Health & Safety Manager to join a thriving business in Livingston. This is a varied, hands-on position where no two days are the same - perfect for someone who enjoys being visible, influential, and genuinely making a difference.

You'll play a key role across both office and site operations, ensuring high standards are maintained while continuously improving how things are done.

🔧 What You'll Be Doing

  • Ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety legislation
  • Managing and developing company safety systems (including ISO standards)
  • Supporting staff and management with expert advice
  • Driving a positive and proactive safety culture across the business
  • Investigating incidents and implementing preventative measures
  • Reviewing and improving policies and procedures
  • Conducting on site audits, inspections, and checks (in your own company car 🚗)
  • Delivering engaging Health & Safety training
  • Leading meetings and maintaining accurate documentation

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in a similar Health & Safety role
  • Strong knowledge of current regulations and best practice
  • A confident communicator who can influence at all levels
  • Highly organised with the ability to juggle priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement
  • Flexible, approachable, and quick to respond to business needs
  • Comfortable using IT systems

🎓 Qualifications

  • NEBOSH or IOSH (essential)
  • Experience in construction, engineering or similar sectors
  • Knowledge of ISO standards
