HGV Class 2 ADR Driver

Job Title: HGV Class 2 ADR Driver
Contract Length: Temporary Ongoing 
Location: Cambuslang 
Pay Rate: £19.28 per hour basic
Hours: Monday to Friday- weekend working may be required

The UK and Ireland's leading provider of industrial, medical, and special gases requires a HGV Class 2 driver with ADR licence on an ongoing basis.

Key Responsibilities:

•    Ensuring the road worthiness, safekeeping and cleanliness of the vehicle allocated.
•    Completing daily pre-use inspection check sheet for the vehicle and any specialised equipment that may be needed as part of daily work.
•    If necessary, operating special BOC equipment such as a forklift truck or crane for loading and unloading vehicles.
•    Applying defensive driving techniques, knowledge of commercial driving regulations and roads to ensure the safe transit and delivery of cylinders.
•    Delivering approximately 15-20 gas cylinders per day to customers in the area.
•    Using safe cylinder manual handling techniques to deliver/collect cylinders to/from customers.
•    Adhering to strict Health & Safety operations.

Requirements for HGV Class 2 Driver:
•    Possession of a HGV Cat C ADR driving license 
•    A driver CPC is required.
•    Adept knowledge of defensive driving and Driver Regulations, including HSA regulations.
•    Ability to interact with internal and external customers.
•    A high level of personal integrity would be advantageous.
•    Must have a minimum of 2 years, for insurance purposes.
