Housing Assistant

Peace Recruitment is currently working with a small, community-focused Housing Association in East Glasgow to recruit an experienced Housing Officer or Housing Assistant on an initial 3-6 month temporary contract, with an immediate start available.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous housing management experience to join a supportive organisation and make an immediate impact. The successful candidate will be appointed as either a Housing Assistant or Housing Officer, depending on their skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver a high-quality housing management service to tenants.
• Manage tenancy-related enquiries and provide excellent customer service.
• Support with arrears management, tenancy sustainment and estate management.
• Assist with voids, allocations and tenancy changes.
• Work closely with colleagues and external agencies to resolve tenancy issues.
• Maintain accurate housing records and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.

About You

• Previous experience working in a Housing Officer or Housing Assistant role is essential.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage a varied workload and work independently.
• Good IT and administrative skills.
• Knowledge of housing management systems would be advantageous.

Additional Requirements

• Housing Officer applicants must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own vehicle, as travel within the local area will be required.
• This is an office-based role located in East Glasgow.
