Housing Officer

Your new company
We are recruiting for a Housing Officer to deliver a high-quality housing management service, supporting customers to sustain successful tenancies, improve neighbourhoods and enhance customer satisfaction on a 6-8 week temporary contract. The successful candidate will manage a varied housing management caseload while working closely with customers, colleagues and external partners to deliver positive outcomes.

Your new role

• Manage allocations, lettings and voids, ensuring properties are re-let efficiently and void loss is minimised.
• Provide housing advice and support to applicants and tenants.
• Manage waiting lists, housing applications and tenancy administration processes.
• Support tenancy sustainment through customer engagement, home visits and partnership working.
• Investigate and manage anti-social behaviour cases, working with external agencies where required.
• Carry out estate inspections and neighbourhood management activities to help maintain safe, sustainable communities.
• Respond to customer enquiries and complaints, delivering a high standard of customer service.
• Monitor performance against KPIs and contribute to continuous service improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Previous experience working in a Housing Officer or Housing Management role.
• Knowledge of Scottish social housing legislation and housing management practices.
• Experience managing tenancy-related matters including allocations, lettings, tenancy sustainment and anti-social behaviour.
• Strong communication, organisation and customer service skills.
• The ability to manage a varied workload and work effectively to deadlines.
• Experience supporting vulnerable customers and working in partnership with external agencies.
