An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Housing Officer to join a well-established housing organisation on a 9-12 month maternity cover contract.This role offers an excellent work-life balance through a 32-hour working week across four days, alongside a flexible hybrid working arrangement.
Your new role
You will be responsible for managing a varied housing management patch, delivering a high-quality service to tenants and customers. Duties will include:

• Tenancy management and sustainment
• Estate management
• Managing antisocial behaviour cases
• Resident engagement and tenancy support
• Arrears management and early intervention
• Working closely with internal teams and external partners to achieve positive outcomes for tenants

What you'll need to succeed

• Recent and relevant Housing Officer experience
• Ability to manage a full housing management caseload independently
• Strong knowledge of housing legislation and best practice
• Excellent communication and customer service skills

What you'll get in return

• Grade 7 salary
• 9-12 month maternity cover contract
• Start date: 16th October
• 32 hours per week across a 4-day working week
• Hybrid working with 2 days from home and 2 days in the office
• Office based in East Lothian
