Full Job Description

As the Housing Operations Manager, you will report to the Locality Housing Manager/Housing Solutions Manager and assist the operational development of housing services within North Lanarkshire, ensuring a high quality of housing provision and support for our tenants and public.

You will be responsible for the implementation and management of housing services and homelessness, as well as council priorities, performance reviews, welfare reform and integrated services.

A key role will be to develop these services and ensure collaborative working and performance monitoring to respond to the needs of local communities, reflect the growing demand for digital services, and ensure key objectives and targets are achieved., It is a requirement of the post that you participate in the Out of Hours Homeless Standby Service Escalation Officer roster during evenings and weekends. Payments for periods of Standby will be made in accordance with the SJC Salaries Agreement.,

  • For all casual/sessional roles, you will receive 12.1% of your hourly rate for every hour worked in total recompense for annual leave, including public holidays. These rates will be indicated separately on your payslip. You will only be paid for the hours that you work.

    You should have substantial experience in housing management and service development, preferably gained in a public sector environment with the ability to monitor and maximise performance in all housing service areas. Your experience should include managing budgets and partnership working, with a track record of delivering performance improvement and the ability to motivate and lead a multi-disciplinary team.

    Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline with strong analytical skills and excellent communication skills, you should demonstrate high personal drive and motivation to deliver housing solutions to meet the council's priority outcomes.

    A leadership or management qualification and experience of risk management are desirable.
