Full Job Description

Hanover are recruiting for an experienced Housing with Care Manager to manage our orders development . This is an opportunity for the right person to make a real difference in the lives of our customers and involves working Monday to Friday giving a total of 35 hours per week. Flexible working requests and condensed hours over 4 days will be considered.

In this role, you will provide an efficient and effective housing and care service, implementing landlord responsibilities, and delivering care at home service. Ensuring that the development and grounds are well managed accordance with government guidelines and legislation.

You will be responsible for supervising support teams, maintaining efficient records and assisting with the dissemination in line with Hanover Scotland's values and Happy Customer strategy.

Together with other managerial responsibilities you will be fostering an environment based on respect and confidentiality where customers' independence and choice are promoted.

Essential

  • A genuine passion for helping adults with complex needs.

  • SVQ 3 and willingness to work towards SVQ 4.

  • 2 years' experience in line management in a Team leader or supervisory role in a care or housing environment or equivalent.

  • Able to foster Hanover Scotland values in Inclusion, accountability, respect, collaboration within a team setting.

  • 2 years' experience in rota management and staff support in care environment or similar.

  • Excellent time management and able to prioritise a varied workload.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Must be a member or able to obtain membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups scheme for adults.

  • Must be registered with SSSC or able to obtain registration.

  • Able to use Microsoft or equivalent applications competently.


  • Desirable
  • Registered, or ability to register, with the Scottish Social Services Council as a condition of employment.

  • Supervisory or management qualification such as ILM.
