HR & Recruitment Manager
We are seeking an experienced HR & Recruitment Manager to lead and develop our HR and recruitment function across the business.
The successful candidate will manage end-to-end recruitment, support managers with people-related matters, oversee onboarding and HR administration, and help improve HR processes and employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end recruitment from vacancy approval through to appointment and onboarding.
- Work with managers on job descriptions, person specifications, interviews and candidate selection.
- Advertise vacancies through appropriate channels and manage relationships with recruitment agencies.
- Oversee offers, pre-employment checks, contracts and onboarding.
- Provide practical HR advice and support to managers and employees.
- Liaise with Payroll regarding starters, leavers, contract changes, absence and annual leave.
- Maintain accurate and confidential HR and recruitment records.
- Monitor recruitment activity and identify opportunities to improve processes.
- Support workforce planning, retention initiatives, HR projects and policy development.
- Ensure recruitment and HR practices comply with employment legislation, equality, data protection and company procedures.
Essential Requirements
- CIPD qualification or equivalent HR/recruitment experience.
- Previous experience in HR, recruitment or people management.
- Experience managing recruitment from vacancy through to onboarding.
- Strong knowledge of fair recruitment practices and employment legislation.
- Excellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work confidently with managers.
- High level of accuracy, discretion and integrity.
- Competent with Microsoft Office.
- Full UK driving licence.
Desirable
- Associate CIPD membership or above.
- Experience within construction, civil engineering or another multi-site operational environment.
- Experience using HR/ATS systems.
- Experience in employee relations, onboarding or workforce planning.
- Experience analysing recruitment data and producing reports.
