Full Job Description

PFC Careers are working with a leading Scottish Commissioning contractor to recruit a HVAC Commissioning Engineer on a permanent basis. The role be based from their offices in Glasgow but involve woking on sites nationwide.


Core Responsibilities

  • Pre-Commissioning & Testing: Performing static checks, electrical testing, and evaluating system performance before full startup.
  • System Balancing: Adjusting air and water flow rates to meet required temperature and pressure regimes across different zones.
  • Troubleshooting & Optimization: Identifying equipment defects, making Building Management Systems (BMS) adjustments, and ensuring energy efficiency.
  • Documentation & Handover: Preparing detailed commissioning reports and demonstrating system operation to facilities managers.

Industry Requirements & Qualifications

  • Experience: Strong background in mechanical building services or HVAC engineering.
  • Compliance Knowledge: Deep familiarity with British Standards, CSA 2-4 guidelines, and approved RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements)
