Interim Finance Manager

Salary: Up to £52,000 pro rata

Contract: 6-Month FTC

Location: Edinburgh (highly flexible), hybrid

Interim Finance Manager opportunity with a growing professional services business for an initial 6-month fixed-term contract. Reporting to the CFO, you will oversee the day-to-day internal finance function, manage a Finance Assistant, and provide reporting and commercial insight to support senior leaders across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the internal finance function and manage team priorities
• Produce monthly management accounts, reporting packs and balance sheet reconciliations
• Supervise and develop a Finance Assistant
• Support business decision-making through financial reporting and analysis
• Manage credit control and cash collection activities
• Prepare quarterly VAT returns
• Support year-end statutory reporting requirements
• Partner with stakeholders across the business and contribute to process improvement initiatives

Candidate Profile:

• Qualified Accountant
• Strong financial reporting and management accounting experience
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Strong Excel and analytical capabilities
• Hands-on approach with a high level of ownership and attention to detail
• Experience of Xero and finance systems
