Interim Finance Manager

Position: Interim Finance Manager

Location: Glasgow

Duration: Initial 2-month contract

Start: Immediate

Hours: 35 hours per week, although part-time will be considered

Day rate: Competitive

Rutherford Cross is pleased to be working with a Glasgow-headquartered organisation to appoint an Interim Finance Manager for an initial 2-month assignment with potential to extend.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day finance function, ensuring accurate and timely financial processing
• Manage the monthly payroll process, including pension administration and liaison with HR
• Review and approve employee expenses and supplier payments
• Support invoicing, income collection and credit control activities
• Produce management information and financial reports as required
• Assist with month-end processes and balance sheet reconciliations
• Support the year-end audit process and liaise with external auditors where required
• Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, policies and procedures
• Provide guidance and support to finance team members and wider stakeholders
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives and help maintain effective financial controls

The Ideal Candidate:

• Qualified, Part-Qualified or ‘Qualified by Experience’ finance professional
• Comfortable working in a hands-on role within a small finance team
• Good payroll knowledge and experience managing end-to-end payroll processes
