Glasgow (Hybrid / Office-Based) Competitive Day rate A growing and well-established organisation is looking to appoint an experienced Finance Manager to support its evolving finance function. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking business where you can play a key role in supporting financial performance and driving operational improvement, within a collaborative and supportive environment.Your new roleReporting into senior finance leadership, you will take ownership of core financial processes while supporting wider business objectives. This is a broad and commercially focused role, offering exposure across multiple areas of finance and the opportunity to influence decision-making.You will work closely with key stakeholders across the business, ensuring financial information is accurate, timely, and adds value to strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Production of monthly management accounts with insightful analysis
  • Ownership of day-to-day financial operations
  • Budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Managing cash flow and working capital
  • Balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls
  • Oversight of purchase and sales ledger activities
  • Supporting statutory reporting and year-end processes
  • VAT returns and regulatory compliance
  • Partnering with non-finance stakeholders to support business decisions
  • Driving improvements in financial processes and systems
  • Supporting audits and liaising with external advisors

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience in a Finance Manager or similar role
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent experience)
  • Experience producing management accounts and financial reporting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Confident communicator, able to influence stakeholders across the business
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
