Interim Head of Finance

We are delighted to be supporting our client in the appointment of an Interim Head of Finance for a 12-month period. Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a pivotal leadership role offering the opportunity to play a significant part in shaping business performance and supporting strategic decision-making across the organisation.

As a key member of the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring robust financial management, delivering high-quality reporting and analysis, and providing commercial insight to drive business growth and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare of monthly management accounts
• Lead the statutory accounts production process and liaison with external auditors
• Cash flow management and liquidity reporting
• Lead and manage the finance team
• Prepare tax returns
• Develop key business controls
• Production of commercial and KPI reports across key business functions
• Lead on the annual budget process business partnering and challenging budget holders
• Update forecasts and analysis of variances
• Support sales and procurement deals

The Ideal Candidate:

• A recognised professional accounting qualification (CA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent
• Previous experience within a Head of Finance, Financial Controller or senior finance leadership role
• Strong technical accounting and financial reporting skills
• Experience of ERP accounting systems and financial modelling
• Excellent business partnering and stakeholder management capabilities
• Proven people management and leadership experience
• Strong commercial awareness and the ability to translate financial information into actionable business insights
• A proactive, adaptable approach with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
