Salary – £56,000

Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland is seeking an outstanding service leader to join our organisation at a pivotal time of growth, transformation and impact. As Scotland's leading health charity supporting people affected by chest, heart, stroke and aphasia conditions, we are committed to ensuring that no one faces these conditions alone. 

This is an exceptional opportunity to lead a significant portfolio of prevention, community support and aphasia services that improve lives across Scotland. Reporting to the Director of Service Delivery, the successful candidate will play a critical role in delivering our No Life Half Lived strategy, ensuring high-quality, person-centred services that empower people to live well with long-term health conditions.  

As Interim Head of Service Delivery, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across a diverse portfolio of services, including prevention programmes, community support services, aphasia services and impact and evaluation functions. You will oversee service performance, lead service improvement initiatives, develop strategic partnerships and ensure that our services continue to deliver measurable outcomes for people and communities across Scotland. Working as a key member of the senior leadership team, you will lead multidisciplinary teams, influence policy and service development, and represent Chest Heart & Stroke Scotland across a range of national and local forums. You will be responsible for translating strategic ambitions into practical delivery, while ensuring strong governance, financial stewardship and a culture of continuous improvement. 

We are seeking an accomplished senior leader with significant experience within health, social care, the charity sector or a related field, and a proven track record of leading large-scale services while delivering operational excellence. The successful candidate will bring substantial experience of service redesign, transformation and organisational change, with the ability to translate strategic priorities into high-quality service delivery. They will possess exceptional relationship-building skills, with experience of working collaboratively across NHS, public, voluntary and community sectors, and will be recognised for their ability to inspire, develop and motivate high-performing teams while fostering a positive, inclusive and values-led culture.
