Interim Project Accountant

Location: Greenock (4 days onsite, 1 day remote)

Contract Length: 2-3 Months

Our client, a growing facilities management business based in Greenock, is seeking an experienced Interim Project Accountant to support the finance function during a busy period.

This is a hands-on role with a dual focus on the production of monthly management accounts and short-term cashflow planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts, including:
• Profit & Loss reporting
• Balance Sheet reconciliations
• Cashflow reporting
• Deliver accurate and timely financial analysis to support business decision-making
• Manage and maintain short-term cashflow forecasts
• Work with invoice financing facilities and ensure effective cash management
• Analyse financial data and provide insights using advanced Excel modelling and reporting

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified or qualified by experience accountant
• Proven experience producing full management accounts
• Strong understanding of Balance Sheet and Cashflow management
• Experience with short-term cashflow forecasting and invoice financing
• Strong Excel skills with the ability to analyse and present financial information effectively
• Experience using Sage 50 would be highly advantageous
• Ability to hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment
