Full Job Description

Are you ready to play a crucial role in leading the charge in the digital transformation of a leading financial services organisation? We're seeking an IT Procurement Manager to join our client's team on an initial 6-month contract.

If you are someone who has extensive IT Procurement knowledge & experience (especially in infrastructure), with experience of working within a regulated environment, take a look.

Remote (predominantly) - limited travel to site (Glasgow/Gosforth) (once a month - also flexible on that)

Candidates must be immediately available.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Lead key initiatives in the IT Procurement Team.
  • Develop and implement category strategies, focusing on engagement models and commercial opportunities.
  • Achieve savings targets for your category.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Manage tendering processes and complex procurement projects.
  • Provide leadership on sourcing approaches and execution.
  • Represent Procurement at Business Review and Governance Meetings.

Your Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years IT Procurement Experience.
  • Infrastructure sourcing experience would be useful but strong software and services experience is a minimum.
  • Advanced negotiation skills + knowledge of sourcing and risk processes.
  • Track record of effective relationships with Senior stakeholders.
  • Experience with suppliers like BT, IBM, and Microsoft.
  • Regulatory knowledge.
  • Understanding of supply chains, markets, and sourcing strategies.
  • Understanding of commercial and legal language.
