Janitor

St Columba’s School is situated in the beautiful Renfrewshire countryside just 30 minutes from Glasgow. We are seeking a pro-active and energetic janitor with good communication skills to join our team.

This is a permanent, full-time post. Working hours are 8.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday, with an early and late shift pattern in place between 7am and 6.30pm. Occasional evening and weekend work will be required.

Duties will include:

• Security of the premises including opening and closing
• Carrying out minor repairs, handyman tasks and ground maintenance
• Handling deliveries
• Preparing rooms and halls for use, including setting out and removing furniture and equipment in accordance with health and safety and manual handling procedures
• Driving the school minibuses
• Daily/weekly/monthly checks of facilities including fire alarm and water hygiene tests
