37 hours per week

£29,813 - £30,044 / £15.45 - £15.57 per hour (including Distant Islands Allowance)
We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, versatile person with good communication and organisation skills, to join our committed staff team. You should have experience of carrying out routine general maintenance with a commitment to a high standard of working, and also a good understanding of security issues.
This post will offer applicants a variety of challenges with the main duty being to ensure that the school buildings and grounds are well maintained, secure and safe.
You must hold a First Aid Qualification or be willing to work towards this.
You must have the ability to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within Orkney to meet the operational requirements of the Service.
This post is subject to Level 2 Disclosure Check with PVG for working in a regulated role with children.
